And because of the special bus we had (not a normal school bus), there were seat belts, which meant that we could bring the car seat kids - Albert and Henry - along with us. They were pretty excited, too (well, Al was rather indifferent, but Henry felt like a big boy!).
On the first leg of our journey, the two preschoolers played bus bingo - finding items on their bingo card like a stop sign, gas station, and railroad tracks.
They thought they were pretty cool!
Our first stop was Guernsey's ice cream shop, which was a hit with all the kids.
This big ice cream cone really got Al's attention! His face just lit up as he dove right into that strawberry sherbet!
Back on the bus, we started to sing some silly songs with Miss Jan, including Old MacDonald. The kids were rather possessive of their stuffed animals (Miss Jan threw an animal out to a child after each verse until everyone had their own to cuddle).
And, of course, we sang "The Wheels on the Bus"!
The kids did a lot of climbing.
Henry did his best to keep up with the bigger kids.
The slide was also a big hit. Even Miss Jan took a turn!
Henry had to join in, too! He kept going back up for more (thankfully Miss Jan was willing to go down with him repeatedly, so Mommy didn't have to!).
Back on the bus again, we enjoyed a ride back to St. Matthew and then lunch together with our cousins at Grandma's house.
What a fun day on the bus with our friends from Moms and Tots Class!
