Uncle Ben (in from Texas) got some cuddle time with Albert.
Henry has turned out to be a big fan of Albert as well. Almost every day lately, he asks us, "Albert? Albert?" hoping we will see his cousin.
We enjoyed hanging out, being together, and a game or two of washers.
Although it was cooler than we expected that day - and rained in the morning - the boys were still excited to go swimming in Kent Lake. Micah could hardly wait until after lunch to get his suit on.
The uncles braved the cold water to take the kiddos out for a swim.Henry enjoyed running in and out of the lake.
After just a short time at the beach, we noticed the temperature drop and it got rather windy. The ladies were thinking it was time to pack up and go back to the pavilion - but we weren't quite fast enough. The skies opened up and POURED on us as we grabbed kids, sand toys, and towels and made a mad dash for shelter. We gathered up our things and headed back to our house for pizza to finish off the evening.
The next day was segregated: a "boys' day" and a "girls' day."
The guys started off with a "quick" round of golf (notice the special outfit David was given to wear for the day)...
... which lasted hours as they were interrupted multiple times by rain. Daddy even had a mishap due to the rain - his rain-soaked hands lost their grip and his club went flying into a water hole at one point!
Later, the ladies headed up to Bay City for dinner on the waterfront...
... and pottery painting!
Mommy made a birthday plate.
It was a fun few days as we had a chance to extend the wedding celebration and family time. This is our last Moldy family wedding in this generation, so we wanted to make it last as long as possible!
