Sloan Museum & Curious George - Nov 10

On Monday, Nov 10 we went back to the Sloan Museum for their Curious George exhibit with our friends, the Fairbanks and the Romines. Baby Lucy Fairbanks and Baby Simon Romines were born just a little before Helen, so their moms were on maternity leave at this time. It was a nice opportunity to get together and let the older siblings run around! Carrie Fairbanks was a part of Mommy's small group Bible Study for a long time, back before either was married. Since her marriage, she lives too far away to join, so this was fun to be able to connect. Brianna Romines is also a friend from the small group, joining with her husband just after Mommy and Daddy got married. It has been fun to go through this season of motherhood together!
Leo, Henry, and Micah worked together to get the blocks up the conveyor belt. Leo is just 2.5 months younger than Micah. They get along pretty well, and allow Henry to tag along.
While we were there, museum staff were setting up a Christmas village with working model trains. This got the attention of all of the boys! Henry was especially interested, darting out of the play area several times to observe the progress.

We decided to skip over the Curious George part of the museum when several large school field trip groups showed up there. Instead, we moved to the back of the museum first and later went back to Curious George. As we moved through museum, Henry had to stop and give the guitar a try!

The big boys got a little goofy during our lunch break.

Barrett wasn't walking yet, but he is seriously the fastest crawling kid ever.
Mommy had to get a photo of three little monkeys together with Curious George!

Helen spent the morning eating, sleeping, and hanging out in the wrap with Mommy. Thankfully, she doesn't mind being carted around to places like this.
Riding the old bicycle was a big hit.
Henry insisted on taking his turn... and needed assistance to get off the bike.
Just as much fun as the exhibits were the wheelchairs that the boys found back near the entrance as we were getting ready to go home. While Mommy got Helen into her car seat, the boys took turns driving each other around. They thought it was awesome to try out the cool chair that was just like the one Mrs. Kinne, their buddy from church, uses! In fact, it was a bit of a challenge to get them to leave the wheelchair so we could go home...
