Micah and I try to go outside and get fresh air when we spend our days at home together (I think this is a German thing - making sure kids get fresh air frequently). We don't have any really big trees in our yard, which makes Jacob happy because there's hardly any raking involved in living here. But we do have a couple of small trees that look pretty with their autumn colors. And a small amount of leaves is all a 1 year old needs to get out and experience one of the most delightful things of fall in Michigan - leaves!
He wasn't quite sure at first what to make of it all.
But soon he got into it (though he didn't want me to walk away from him to rake up the leaves, so I only got two small piles of leaves raked up - sorry, Daddy!).
Here Micah's pointing out a car. He LOVES to watch cars and trucks of all kinds go by (he's such a boy!). In fact, Micah's first word, which he says frequently, was "car" (he still doesn't really say "mommy," but says "car" as clear as a bell)... followed by "squirrel."
And there it is, Micah's "cheesy smile." It's Mommy's favorite look!
Ah! Love that cheesy smile!
