End of the Season

We closed the soccer season the weekend of November 7. Micah had his last game on Thurs, Nov 5. He fully enjoyed his season in goal under Coach Ash.
Henry had a Saturday game with beautiful weather and both sets of grandparents in town to cheer him on.

After the game, we took Grandma and Poppa Roe over to visit Greenfield Village, something Poppa has been talking about for years. We didn't have time to fully explore all of it, and some areas were closed due to Covid restrictions, but it was still a fun way to spend the afternoon.
We had recently been learning about George Washington Carver, so it was cool to see his cabin there.

And we walked through the Logan County Court House, where Abraham Lincoln practiced law. He's been a favorite of ours since our trip to Lincoln's birthplace in Kentucky last summer.
Afterwards, we swung by Will and Cara's house to drop off a few items for Paige that we had outgrown. Helen and Paige were two giggly girls, playing with the video doorbell and hanging out in the bike trailer. We've enjoyed many miles with that old bike trailer, but are happy to move on to bigger and better things now that Helen has grown up. And it's nice to imagine the new adventures Paige and her parents will have on their bike rides!
