Micah recently checked out a book at the library about building traps (this was fueled by the sight of a bunny in the library garden and his desire to catch a rabbit of his own). When he got the book home, he was slightly disgusted to realize it was merely a "how to" for catching a leprechaun - cue the eye roll from the 9 year old.
But Helen was inspired and immediately set out to create a doll trap - to catch one of the new Polly Pocket dolls Grandma Moldy found for her at a garage sale. She had a vision and carried it out, complete with bag of bait (fake jewels), a popsicle stick ladder, a teeter-totter, and a hidden hole.
She was delighted when it worked! Unfortunately, it didn't always perform exactly as planned when we started trying to make a video. But it was fun anyway!
