Moments in Time, Jan 12-15

What can we say - three heads are better than one at tummy time!
Despite the eager assistance from her brothers, four month old Helen was still not too enthusiastic about tummy time.
A winter highlight for the boys is watching Mr. Joe (who grew up in our house!) plow the driveway. They grabbed their helper stools for a better view and Henry sang his own made up song, "I love Mr. Joe" while watching the clearing of the driveway.
The boys were soon inspired to go outdoors themselves. Mommy loves that she can send them out on their own, with instructions to stay on the patio. They busied themselves with clearing snow from the rails...
... which quickly turned into eating the snow from the rails...
... and the flower box (so maybe they still do need a bit of supervision).
In the afternoon, Mommy brought the snow indoors for a change.
The deer came for their afternoon snack on our bushes.
And we watched the whole group circle round to the back yard. That evening, all the kids and Mommy went to the funeral home for Aunt Heather's sweet Nana (Daddy had Bible Study). The kids behaved fairly well, to Mom's relief. Micah enjoyed talking with people and exclaimed on his way home, "I always make new friends at funerals!"
Tuesday morning, Henry enjoyed singing and dancing in his "Toe-tappin' Tuesday" library class.

Meanwhile, Micah made an explorer's hat in his Alphabet Adventures class.
The boys continue to hone their teamwork skills. This week there was a point where everything was suspiciously quiet. From the other room, Mommy called out, "Boys! Stop sneaking raisins!"
"How did you know, Mom?" Micah asked, astounded. "We were really quiet!" Mommy is developing her Mom sense of hearing!

Helen's new feat for the week is to shake her rattle (handed down from the Kimba girls), entertaining herself and the rest of us.
Henry assisted Mommy in assembling a domino-style line of Jenga blocks.
And the boys entertained themselves while waiting for their macaroni and cheese to cook.
We ended our Thursday with some snuggles.
And some general silliness while waiting for Daddy to come home from basketball. Oh, what a blessing these digital cameras are to capture so many of the little moments in time!
