Bonding with Brothers - Oct 6 & 7

Henry is really digging "tummy time" with Helen. He loves snuggling up to his sister. He's doing well at learning how to be a big brother... except the pacifier thing. He continues to pull Helen's pacifier out of her mouth! (Oh, and there was that unfortunate incident where Henry smashed the peanut butter jar onto Helen's head today... but that really was an accident - he happened to be carrying the jar when he tripped and fell, and Helen happened to be in the path of his descent. Regardless, she was NOT thrilled.)
Thankfully, she isn't so attached to the pacifier yet to protest too much.
Micah really wanted a turn to feed his sister, so we put some milk into a bottle to give it a try.
While it made for some nice photos, both of them lost interest pretty quickly. Later, we learned it was a bit of a struggle for Helen to eat from the bottle with her cleft palate.

Henry supervised (he had to wear a bib also since Helen was wearing a bib!).
Helen took a break from bonding with her brothers to snuggle Mommy.

On Tuesday, Oct 7, we had Helen's 1 month doctor visit, where we learned of Helen's cleft palate. It wasn't all sad news though. There were some lighthearted moments... When the doctor first came into the room, Micah bragged to him, "I can make my butt tickle!" (Mommy was less than proud at that moment.)

Later, we spent time just enjoying being together with our newest family member.
This may be Mommy's favorite photo so far of Henry and Helen!
